What you will be doing:

  • To Achieve and surpass your business goals as set out annually by the Head of Fleet. These will include but are not limited to, unit sales objectives for each brand Norton Way Group holds, Net Profit objectives and debt management targets.
  • Demonstrate a relentless drive to secure new business for the Norton Way Group; whilst maintaining effective relationships with existing clients.
  • Display a positivity and desire to succeed in everything that you do; particularly in situations of increased expectation or adversity.
  • To be focused on achieving and exceeding all personal, and business objectives; ensuring that you proactively seek guidance with any areas of concern and that you remain engaged within a regular review process.
  • Execute everything within your area of impact with an absolute commitment to achieving a successful result.
  • Be integral in championing and maintaining a culture of customer service excellence; ensuring that the expectations and requirements of customers are delivered upon. Be a positive, supportive and consultative member of your immediate and wider team.
  • Demonstrate a willingness and accountability for receipting and addressing customer feedback; however, the feedback arose regardless of the origin.
  • Be integral in maintaining the onsite standards and presentation of the Centre.
  • Demonstrate alignment with, and engagement in, a robust customer communication strategy e.g. ensuring that customers remain updated by their desired timeframes.
  • Ensure that you are adequately prepared for appointments with customers; together with ensuring that vehicles are appropriately prepared for handover to customers.
  • Ensure that internal processes are executed by the training/guidance given e.g. capturing and updating customers' details.
  • Maintain electronic records completely and accurately.
  • Empowered to escalate to the Management Team any concerns about the operation of the business.

  • Leadership - Be able to set consistent and positive examples and provide guidance that enriches the fleet team as well as the company overall
  • Communication - Both written and verbal to communicate a vision for the team that reflects both the department goals and the goals of the management. Communicate goals as well as concerns at all levels, and communicate them with assurance, tact and understanding.
  • Adaptability - Remain flexible in the face of change is critical to your success as a fleet manager; don't simply accept change - embrace it and look for ways to use change to benefit your fleet, your company and your customers. Look deeply into every change to uncover unique opportunities to keep your company at the top of its field.
  • Time management - Understanding how to delegate your time and your responsibilities is a key factor in ensuring you can juggle all the varying demands of effective fleet management.
  • Decision making - Able to make decisions quickly and effectively. Building trust and confidence in your team.
