Letchworth MP Sir Oliver Heald sends condolences after Sir David Amess killing

Letchworth MP Sir Oliver Heald has sent his condolences to the family of Sir David Amess after his brutal killing on Friday.
Sir David, 69, who represents Southend West in Essex, was fatally attacked on Friday afternoon at Belfairs Methodist Church in Leigh-on-Sea.
A man walked into the Essex parliamentarian's constituency surgery and stabbed the renowned animal lover multiple times, shocking the country and prompting an outpouring of [L]https://hitchin.nub.news/n/north-herts-labour-groups-sends-message-after-mp-is-stabbed[L]grief and sympathy.[.L]
Sir Oliver said: "So sad to hear that my colleague and friend Sir David Amess has died after the brutal attack at his constituency surgery.
"He was such a nice person and my thoughts are with his family at this dreadful time."
A man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
