Part of the A507 situated near to Arlesey and Stotfold is set to be closed for the weekend.

The reason the stretch has been shut is to allow the installation of a new footbridge.

The road will be closed between the Stotfold Road and Hitchin Road roundabouts from 9pm today, Friday (June 16) until 5am on Monday, June 19.

Diversion signs will be in place during the road closure while the footbridge will be lifted and placed over the A507 to provide a pedestrian, cycling and equestrian link between Arlesey and Stotfold via Etonbury Wood.

The High Street will also be closed from near Goodwin Drive to the junction with House Lane - lasting from 8pm on Saturday to 8pm on Sunday during the weekends of Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, July 2 and the weekend of Saturday, July 8 and Sunday, July 9..
