Arrest made after man left with 'substantial injuries' following Letchworth assault

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in Letchworth Garden City.

The incident occurred between 11pm and 11.40pm on Thursday 28 November at the Jackmans Community Centre.

A man in his 20s was reportedly assaulted, causing "substantial" facial injuries.

A man from Royston, also aged in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of assault (ABH).

He was released on police bail while enquiries continue.

Investigator Alex Mihailovic said: "I am appealing for anyone with information to please come forward.
