Baldock Futures Fund – Support for those suffering from Long Covid

Cllr Michael Muir has approved a grant of £3039 to the Baldock Futures Fund to help residents who are unable work due to suffering from Long Covid, or those who have lost their jobs because of Covid.

The hardship fund provides support for individuals and families who have been affected by Covid through small loans and grants that aim to alleviate hardship.

Cllr Muir said: "Long Covid and the results of Covid on the economy has caused great hardship to some communities.

"We hope to help people who have suffered this hardship by helping them financially to find a new direction in life and work.

"We will help by helping them buy food, help with fuel costs and help with fares or petrol to get to work."
