Curtain rises on new home for renowned Emil Dale Theatre Academy after relocation from Hitchin to Letchworth

A renowned theatre academy has made Letchworth its new home in an exciting move.
The highly-regarded Emil Dale Academy has switched from Hitchin to the Garden City.
The acclaimed academy has taken over The Grammar School in Letchworth from today, Tuesday (February 27).
Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation told Nub News: "We are delighted to announce that Emil Dale Academy, one of the UK's leading performing arts academies, is heading to town.
"This move marks a significant step forward in the cultural development of the town.
"More than 600 students will be working in the town and it is hoped that they will become a part of the thriving Letchworth Garden City cultural scene."
As well as operating the academy, Emil Dale operate The Factory Playhouse Productions – a thriving production arm which will be working in collaboration with Broadway Theatre to deliver more first class entertainment for Letchworth Garden City.
Emil Dale, founder of the Academy added: "The unveiling of our new home in Letchworth is a pivotal moment for Emil Dale Academy.
"With 56,000 square feet of space—more than double the size of our previous location—we are well-equipped to deliver world-class training in all-round musical theatre.
"The new facilities reinforce our commitment to setting new standards in performing arts education."
Emil Dale Academy runs part time course for ages 3-21 and full-time course for ages 16+, offering Further and Higher education qualifications in collaboration with the University of Bedfordshire and The Knights Templar School.
