Police who are investigating a burglary in Royston are releasing images of stolen jewellery items as they seek information from the public.

Sometime on Wednesday 22 November, unknown offenders have reportedly broken into an address on Melbourn Road, by smashing the window of a patio door.

During an untidy search of the house, a number of jewellery items including a ring and a necklace were taken amongst other items.

Investigator Frances Aylin of North Herts Local Crime Unit said: "We are currently exploring a number of lines of enquiry relating the burglary.

"I am hoping that someone recognises these images of jewellery taken. Have you seen them for sale or been offered them?

"In addition, I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at any time on the day or anyone who may have CCTV footage which could support our investigation."

If you have any information or footage to support our investigation, please contact Detective Constable Sophie Dinak-Martin via [email protected]

Call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/93581/23.
