The "fabulous" Midland Pullman express is set to come to Letchworth this December.

Departing from Potters Bar, the excursion will travel the length of the country to reach Edinburgh on Friday 20 December.

Passengers will be picked up in Welwyn Garden City, Stevenage, Letchworth, Royston, Cambridge, Ely, March, Peterborough and Grantham.

"This special tour offers a journey on the fabulous 'Midland Pullman' to the heart of Scotland's capital where shopping is always a unique experience but at Christmas – it's truly magical, when the gardens beneath Edinburgh Castle are transformed into a Winter Wonderland with traditional Christmas markets," the website said.

"We travel along the Northumberland coast and through the beautiful Scottish Lowlands to Edinburgh for an afternoon break of around three hours.

"The station is located just below one of the UK's most historic and popular shopping areas – Princes Street, with its beautifully lit trees and international stores on one side and a traditional German & Scottish Highland Christmas Market on the other."

The Midland Pullman excursion on December 20 is fully sold out with tickets starting at £195.

The special will reach Letchworth at 7am and return at 9.45pm on the way south.
