LETCHWORTH: A list of candidates for the North Herts Local Elections will be finalised this week after the deadline for nomination papers ends tomorrow (Tuesday, April 5).

Royston Palace Further information Forms of nomination may be obtained at Council Offices, Gernon Road, Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, SG6 3JF from the Returning Officer who will, at the request of an elector for any electoral area prepare a nomination paper for signature.

1. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, Council Offices, Gernon Road, Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, SG6 3JF during normal office hours on any day after the date of this notice but no later than 4pm on Tuesday 5 April 2022.

1. To ensure nominations can be delivered safely, please book an appointment by emailing [email protected] with details of the date and time that you would like to attend. Your appointment will be confirmed by email.

1. If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 5 May 2022.

1. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Thursday 14 April 2022. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

1. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Council Offices, Gernon Road, Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, SG6 3JF by 5 pm on Tuesday 19 April 2022.

1. New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Council Offices, Gernon Road, Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, SG6 3JF by 5pm on Tuesday 26 April 2022.

1. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on grounds of physical incapacity or for work/service reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Council Offices, Gernon Road, Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, SG6 3JF by 5pm on Thursday 5 May 2022.
