Get set for a gardening masterclass in Letchworth this weekend.

An event called Gardening Masterclass at Standalone Farm - Gardening for All is taking place this Saturday.

There will be gardening classes for all levels of experience with the Arch Community Group.

During lockdown many people have taken up gardening as a new hobby, this course is designed to help you get the best out of your garden.

The course is suitable for beginners to intermediate gardener.

The course covers a variety of subjects that include:

Soil – condition, PH levels texture, improvement

Tools – Best tools to have in your tool kit and how to look after them

Plants – Right plant right location, plants for free, growing from seed and cuttings

Design – Making the best use of space

Pest and diseases – how to identify basic pests and diseases found in the garden

Please bring with you:

Pair of garden gloves

Sturdy footwear

A sample of soil from your garden approx. ½ a cup worth

A pair of secateurs

Saturday, November 13 - 9am to 1pm
