Here's the latest Nub News column from the brilliant David's Music

Hello from David's!

Although we can't quite believe that it's May already, it's definitely starting to feel like summer is just around the corner.

The days are longer, the skies are brighter and there's loads of excellent new music coming our way.

One release that's been a permanent fixture on the shop stereo is 'A Bit of Previous' from Belle and Sebastian, their first studio album in seven years (if we don't count soundtracks and compilations!)

It's everything you'd expect and want from the indie icons – bittersweet, nostalgic pop perfection.

We've also been loving 'WE', the latest album from Arcade Fire. As The Telegraph puts it, "you can depend upon the Canadian-American ensemble to offer thematically coherent works of vaunting ambition, characterised by big ideas, grand emotions and cinematic scope." This latest offering is no exception, and is likely to satisfy even the most diehard of fans as well as winning them some new ones.

There's also some exciting bookshop news! From May 9th – 31st, the David's Bookshop website is having their first ever online sale!

There'll be 20% off of new books if you use the code BOOKS20 at checkout, and it's well worth taking a look – there's some absolutely brilliant releases available.

We hope to see you instore soon, but you can check out our website for the latest news and releases!
