Officers have released CCTV images of two people who might be able to help their enquiries following an attempted theft in Letchworth Garden City.

The incident happened in Wilkinsons in East Cheap on Friday, April 22.

Between 115pm and 145pm, a trolley was filled up with goods worth hundreds of pounds and an attempt was made to leave the shop with it.

Staff spotted what was happening and the trolley was then abandoned.

PCSO Katie Pegram, from the North Herts Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "We believe those pictured were in the shop at the time and they could have vital information about the incident.

"If you recognise them please get in touch by calling the non-emergency number 101 or email me at [email protected] quoting crime reference 41/32010/22."
