The 37th running of the Standalone 10k will take place this Sunday (October 1).

Although the race is now full you can always come out to enjoy the atmosphere and cheer the runners on.

To make the race as safe as possible it is all run on closed roads. These include:

Wilbury Road,

Norton Rd,

Cashio Lane,

Croft Lane,

Hitchin Road

Stotfold Road.

The race, organised by North Herts Road Runners starts at 930am. The road closures will start in Wilbury Rd at 830am to allow the race to start and then move around the course.

The race organisers will open the roads as soon as the runners have finished.

The event organiser, Richard Harbon told Letchworth Nub News: "The Standalone 10k is a huge community event with over 1300 runners taking part and a huge amount of money raised for local charities.

"In order to ensure all the runners get safely home we close roads in Letchworth.

"I apologise if this causes you inconvenience.

We will open the roads as soon as we can. Thank you."
