Starbucks has resubmitted plans for outdoor seating area at its new store in Letchworth town centre.

As Letchworth Nub News exclusively reported last year, the global coffee chain opened a new store on Leys Avenue,

Originally, Starbucks' application included plans for an outdoor seating area - but this detail was deleted in a bid to get the council to grant permission for Starbucks to open its doors to punters.

However, Starbucks have now submitted a second planning application, specifically asking permission to be granted to allow an outdoor seating area.

As you can see, sketching indicate that approximately eight tables - seating two people each - are intended outside the café if the council approves the second application.

The main difference is the new proposed location for the seating has been placed further away from the main entrance, with the aim of reducing its impact on people around the store.
