Letchworth: Two teenagers arrested after man stabbed at Norton Common as victim taken to hospital by air ambulance

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following an incident at Norton Common, Letchworth on Monday (June 26). 

Police were called at around 650pm to reports of an altercation and a man having been located with a stab wound to the leg. 

Officers and the East of England Ambulance Service attended the scene, the man, aged in his 20s, was located and taken to hospital by air ambulance.  

He remains in hospital in a stable condition. 

Two men, aged 18 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. 

Detective Sergeant Ben Dixon, of the North Herts Local Crime Unit, said: "I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident or has information about it, who has not already spoken to police, to make contact with us. 

"While arrests have been made, we are continuing our investigation into the circumstances of what happened and any information you may have, no matter how small, could prove crucial to our enquiries. 

"If you think you can help, I can be contacted directly by email via [email protected]."
