Inclusive Lucky Penny celebrates same-sex weddings
Same-sex weddings are no different to opposite-sex weddings in that both are about the love two people have for one another and involve making a public commitment in front of friends and family.
We know that love is love — and we should all celebrate it.
Iconic VW camper van Lucky Penny and her owner Kate Peto certainly do.
"Inclusivity and diversity is really important to me as a business and as a person," says passionate Kate, adding: "I want everyone who engages with me to feel comfortable, safe and seen."
Inclusive Kate shares a story.
"After exchanging some messages with a prospective bride she sent me this message: 'just want to say how nice it was to see a same sex couple on your gallery and that you use the term "happy couples" rather than bride and groom.'
"'It's been a tricky journey finding businesses we feel comfortable with - I'm in love with what I've seen,' is what she told me", said Kate.
"I can honestly say this made me beam and very proud of the fact that this couple felt comfortable and confident to book with me.
"The reason I do what I do is all about love and happiness and its a privilege to be part of people's special day."
"Because," says Kate with a big smile: "After all, Love is love, and Lucky Penny Weddings is all about the love."
