Man charged after burglary and attempted burglaries in Letchworth

A man has been charged in connection with a burglary and two attempted burglaries in Letchworth.

Police were called to reports of a house being broken in to in Howard Gate, Letchworth on Monday 8 July.

On the same day two other attempted burglaries were reported in Whitethorn Lane and John Stoddard Court, also in Letchworth.

Simon Day, aged 36, of Rundells was arrested and later charged with the three offences.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on Wednesday 7 August.
