Update: New policing priorities announced for Letchworth and Baldock

New policing priorities have been set for the Letchworth and Baldock Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNTs), following a feedback process involving the local communities.

For the next six months the SNT will be focusing on:

The unlawful use of e-scooters in Letchworth town centre.

Theft from motor vehicles, particularly catalytic converters, and number plate theft in both Letchworth and Baldock.

Speeding on Norton Road in Letchworth.

"Thanks to everyone who took the time to submit their views, we really value your feedback so we can make sure we capture all of the issues affecting local residents and allocate our resources accordingly," said SNT Sergeant Lisa Perks.

"Your local team will be working hard over the coming months to address these concerns.

"Together we will ensure that Letchworth and Baldock continue to be very safe places to live, work and visit.

Thanks to local residents submitting their views via the force's community feedback forum 'echo' and the online watch link – OWL, new policing priorities are now in place, taking into account the information received.

The SNTs are tasked with fixing short and long-term neighbourhood issues, which include issues such as anti-social behaviour, drug related crime, car crime and speeding. They work closely with local partners including the council and schools to achieve this.
