North East Herts MP Sir Oliver Heald was guest of honour at Letchworth Garden City Rugby Club last weekend - as the Legends powered to yet another victory.

The MP for Letchworth and surrounding areas had lunch then stayed to watch the match against Stowmarket - which resulted in an emphatic 34-14 victory for the home side.

Speaking at the lunch, Oliver congratulated the team on its 25 game unbeaten run and being top of the league to make it 26 games unbeaten.

Sir Oliver said "It was good to be able to congratulate Letchworth on their fine run and also to watch the match against Stowmarket. 

"This is the best run I can remember by the team and I was proud to be presented with their club tie."
