Police appeal after ring and necklace stolen in Letchworth theft

Police have released a CCTV image of a woman they would like to identify following a theft in Letchworth.

It is reported that someone began walking alongside and starting a conversation with the victim before walking in the opposite direction.

Shortly afterwards, the victim realised that a ring and necklace had been taken.

The incident occurred on Thursday 17 October at around 11.15am.

North Herts Police did not say where the incident took place.

PC Zak Watson said: "We are releasing this image as we believe the person pictured may have been in the area at the time and could have vital information that will help our investigation.
