Witness appeal after dog dangerously out of control in Letchworth Garden City

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following reports of a dog being dangerously out of control in Letchworth Garden City.

The incident occurred at around 910pm on Monday 28 August, on Western Way.

It is reported that a man was walking his dog down the road when it was attacked by a Mastiff-type dog that was off its lead.

The man then had his left leg scratched, ripping his jeans.

PC Laura Bruckner, who is investigating, said: "Our enquiries are continuing, and we are asking anyone with information to please get in touch.

"I am particularly keen to trace a man who approached the victim and told him that he would be a witness. However, due to the understandable shock from the incident, the victim didn't get his details.

"Was this you, or were you in the area at the time and saw what happened? Please contact me with any information at [email protected]."
