Lucky Penny Weddings is an acclaimed North Herts business that plays a large part in bringing joy to our community. 

Owner Kate Peto launched her Wedding Transport business just over a year ago - and what an incredible year it has been for busy Kate.

Quirky Weddings

There can't be anyone who isn't feeling the financial pinch at the moment and none more than couples planning their special day, writes Kate Peto.

However the weddings where couples have had more of a home made approach are fast becoming my favourite to be part of.

Let me tell you why - because they really do reflect the couples personalities.

I'll share with you my favourite ''Quirky Weddings' so far.

Top of my pops is Tammy and Sparky's wedding, which had a distinct goth feel to it with guests in black and pumpkins glowing - who doesn't love a groom dressed as a viking! My very favourite groom...ever! 

Then we have Fran and her zoo loving family, yes we drove round Woburn in Penny, wedding dress and all. A tiny, beautiful family day. 

Next is a wedding that melted my heart. This beautiful couple were ardent supporters of Help for Heroes. Every detail was coordinated to match the charities colour scheme. It was a real privilege to be part of their special day. 

Here at Lucky Penny Weddings I created something special for each of those weddings.

Spider ribbons and pumpkins for Tammy and Sparky, animal foot prints on Penny for our zoo wedding and Help for Hero's bunting for Michelle and Alan.

I get a tremendous amount of pleasure from creating something special for special people, it truly does make each wedding unique
