The North Herts Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) security tagged 26 bikes as they held a free bike-marking event in Letchworth on Saturday (8 June).

NPT PCSOs Jordan Bright and Phoebe Taylor were on hand to security-mark bikes, while also chatting about local neighbourhood issues and giving crime prevention advice around keeping your pedal cycle safe and secure.

Having your bike marked can help deter thieves from stealing it as it makes them harder to sell on. It also means bikes can be reunited with their rightful owners more easily should they ever be lost or stolen.

PCSO Bright said: "It was great to meet so many people in Letchworth at the weekend and security mark so many bikes.

"Thank you to all that came to see us and we hope to see you out and about in our community soon."
