With the Wednesday (October 4) being the start of national curry week I would love to share with you Tims story.

Tim says his favourite slimming world meal is a curry. And his consultant Amanda sang his praises for the fabulous dishes he has made at the taster sessions that are held. Stating he often brings dishes which the other members love but we always check if it's normal spicy or Tim spicy as he likes a bit of heat in his curry.

Tim has lost more than five and half stone with Slimming World to achieve his fabulous target weight and has introduced body magic, Slimming Worlds unique activity programme into his daily routines, achieving many awards for his improved activity. Tim says one of the things he loves about Slimming World is achieving awards and he regularly achieved things such as slimmer of the week and slimmer of the month.

IT consultant Tim, 42, who primarily works from home said the final straw that made him want to lose some weight was that he could no longer buy trousers in his size. He has gone from a size 46 inch waist to a 32 inch waist "I have lost all of my previous trousers and two suits. Expensive but worth it. I did not think I would get this far."

When asked about his journey he said he loves the freedom of being able to eat so many different foods and not having to worry about counting, weighing and measuring everything, he said the key is about being consistent and forming good habits. Learning changes in behaviours such avoiding trigger foods and danger zones, for him these are coffee shops and supermarkets. Tim is the king of an online food shop.

Tim addresses some of the benefits to losing his amazing 5 stone as his overal health and mental well being has improved and he feels better and stronger all over. It has allowed him to "wear what I want and be so much more confident about my weight.

"I can now consider better jobs and prospects and activities like skydiving and flying."
