Police are appealing for witnesses after a member of staff was assaulted at Letchworth's Morrisons during a theft.

It was reported that around 12.30pm on Monday 23 September, a selection of vapes were taken from the store by two teenagers and a member of security staff was assaulted when challenging the suspects as they left.

Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "The suspects were described as two white teenage girls aged around 16 and 5ft 4ins tall.

"One was wearing a black hoody with the hood up, dark trousers and dark sunglasses.

"The other had long brown hair tied back in a ponytail, a black Nike top and black leggings.

"If you have information about this incident, please contact PCSO Jordan Bright by email via [email protected]."
