Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a theft in Letchworth Garden City.

The incident occurred between 12pm and 12.15pm on Wednesday (June 14), on Common View at the corner with Norton Way North.

It is reported that two men, who were wearing balaclavas, drilled into a Ford Transit van. Tools were then taken from the vehicle before the suspects made off in a dark-coloured estate car.

PC Harry Vines, who is investigating, said: "Our enquiries are continuing and we are appealing for anyone with information to please come forward.

"Were you in the area at the time and saw anyone acting suspiciously? Additionally, if you have a dash cam fitted and were driving in the area at the time, please check it as you may have recorded some crucial footage that could help our investigation."

Anyone with information is asked to please contact PC Vines at [email protected]

Or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/47649/23.
