Two men in their 20s from Hitchin and Letchworth have been arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A and Class B drugs with intent to supply

At around 1115am on Saturday (May 21), police were made aware of suspicious activity in Walsworth Common car park in Hitchin.

Officers attended the area and stopped a vehicle of interest in Bearton Road.

Two males were detained for a search under the misuse of drugs act.

A quantity of class A and class B drugs were recovered, along with cash and a mobile phone.

A 25-year-old man from Letchworth Garden City and a 20-year-old man from Hitchin were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs.

Both have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Additionally, the 20-year-old man was reported for the offences of driving without insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
