Police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak with after a woman was assaulted in a Baldock alleyway

The incident took place between 905am and 920am on Monday (March 25) in an alleyway between the Sycamores and Baldock Cemetery.

The offender made his escape following the assault, leading Hertfordshire police to appeal for witnesses.

Detective Constable Trudi Howell said: "We are appealing to the public for any information that they may have relating to this incident.

"We are releasing the CCTV image because we believe the individual pictured may have been in the area at the time and could have information to assist our investigation.

"Is this you, or do you recognise this person? Please email [email protected] with any information.

"We appreciate that the image is not very clear, although we are hoping that people can identify the man from the clothes he is wearing.

"We flooded the local area yesterday with officers who have spoken to residents and given reassurance.

Call 101 quoting crime reference 41/24248/24.
