PUBLIC health and education chiefs in Hertfordshire have written to parents to highlight additional measures they are asking Letchworth schools to make in helping to reduce the spread of Covid.
The changes include a return to the widespread use of face coverings inside Highfield and Fernhill schools in our town – as well as on public and school transport.

MORE than 37,000 tonnes of 'recyclables' collected from Hertfordshire - including from Letchworth households - were sent overseas for reprocessing last year, according to new data.
That means that for every six tonnes of material that is recycled or composted in the UK, one is sent overseas for reprocessing – mostly to Asia.
LETCHWORTH: Nearly £50,000 has been awarded to two community groups in our town to help them make substantial changes to their buildings to better serve local residents.
Following a meeting of North Herts District Council's Community Facilities Capital Grants Panel the cash was granted in capital funding to various groups.
