Baldock Fleadh attracts legendary All Ireland champion musician Kerrie Herrity this Bank Holiday weekend

It is now 14 years since the first Fleadh Irish Music Festival was held in the north Herts market town of Baldock - transformed into a small Irish town, for one afternoon only, every year.

It continues to attract musicians singers and lovers of traditional Irish music from all over the South East and despite the loss of two notable pubs on Baldock High Street, continues to grow in popularity.

Organiser Brian Burke told Nub News: "It will be a grand afternoon for sessions and singers as the local coffee shop is holding a singers stage in honour of the lovely Dorrie Randall of Dublin and Baldock - who sang at every opportunity until her sad passing last year.

"This year we are privileged that legendary All Ireland champion banjo player Kerrie Herrity from County Sligo will be playing in the sessions with her eleven year old daughter Blahin."

So, why not come and enjoy a feast of Irish music and dance from 1pm on Monday, May 2 until 8pm
