We all know Letchworth's Spirella Building is impressive - but have you seen the evocative black and white photographs of it from the air?

In 1924 inspired by Howard Carter's Egypt expedition - the renowned archaeologist and Egyptologist - a giant art deco factory was designed by architects PHS Burditt and built in Baldock to house a film processing company called Kosmos.

Fast forward to the present day, a large Tesco superstore stands behind the listed front, having been there since 1983. At more than 150 metres wide, the stunning facade is the largest in Baldock.

But have you ever seen it from the air?

The black and white photograph of the building was taken in 1928 and shows how the centre of Baldock has changed over more than 90 years.
