The incident occurred in Star Street, at around 1220pm on Thursday 20 April and involved a blue Volkswagen Polo and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 70s, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital where she remains in a stable condition at this time.

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and is assisting police with the investigation.
