Witness appeal following common assault in Letchworth

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a common assault in Letchworth.

At around 745am on Thursday (February) 1, a woman was walking her dog on The Common, Cowslip Hill, when she became involved in a verbal dispute with another woman, who had two dogs with her. 

The dispute escalated and the second woman is alleged to have punched the first woman. No injury was sustained.

The woman with two dogs is described as being white, aged around 48 with brown shoulder length hair. She was wearing a blue knee length puffer coat and brown knee high boots.

The dogs she had with her were described as a white/yellow Labrador type and a brown spaniel type dog.

PC Gracie Robinson, who is investigating, said: "I'd like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or who has information about it to please get in touch.

"Do you recognise the woman described? If so, please contact me with details by email via [email protected]"
