A Letchworth hospice has teamed up with League One side Stevenage FC as their official charity partner for the season.

Garden House Hospice will be emblazoned on Boro's third kit throughout the 2023-24 campaign.

The partnership will see the Hospice and the Club work together to increase the awareness of GHH's work in the local community and help raise vital funds, enabling the charity to continue providing their free specialist care for patients, families and carers facing life-limiting illnesses across North Hertfordshire, Stevenage and surrounding towns and villages.

The partnership kicked off with the unveiling of the team's brand new third kit, which features the GHH logo front and centre.

Stevenage FC CEO Mike Pink, star striker Jamie Reid and talented midfielder Nick Freeman were among the club's representatives to visit the Hospice last week and reveal the shirts for the first time.

Mike said: "I'm looking forward to us working closely with the team at the Hospice to help drive awareness and donations throughout the season and provide some much-needed support.

"I want to say a huge thank you to GRILLA for giving up their space on the front of our new third shirt and helping us to provide Garden House Hospice Care with this opportunity."

Steve Evans' Stevenage side are currently top of League One after an excellent start to the season, following on from a stellar campaign last term, in which they gained promotion from League Two as runners-up.

Our Director of Income Generation, Carla Pilsworth, added: "Working in partnership with Stevenage Football Club gives us an opportunity much wider than fundraising. Whilst the income generated from the partnership will make an incredible difference to the services we can provide at the Hospice.

"The awareness it will build throughout Stevenage and beyond is unmeasurable. We are looking forward to seeing what this year will bring."

Replica jerseys are available to purchase now at www.stevenagefcshop.com and from the Stevenage FC Club Shop, with 25% of net profit benefiting compassionate care for local people facing a life-limiting illness in Stevenage and beyond.
