The creative sector has been an undeniable casualty of the last eighteen months, with galleries and studios closed.
For art students it has been especially tough, with degree shows cancelled and little opportunity to network with fellow creatives.
The Broadway Gallery is looking to help artists from our area who are either studying or have recently graduated, by posting an open call for their next exhibition, New Blood, inviting artists to submit their work for consideration, and if successful, they'll be featured in the exhibit at the gallery from Thursday, November 25.
As well as having the prestige of being featured in the exhibition, each artist will receive a fee of £300 and coverage from the gallery's and Letchworth Garden City's social media channels.
Kristian Day, curator at The Broadway Gallery said: "The Broadway Gallery is a central hub for Hertfordshire's thriving arts and culture sector.
"I'm really keen to get as many artists from our area involved with the space as possible, especially after the last couple of years. I'm looking forward to looking through the submissions, and welcoming some amazing new talent to the gallery."
Artists should email links their website and social media channels, as well as images of their work and a brief biography, by Sunday 31st October.
Submissions should be sent to [email protected].
