LETCHWORTH AND BALDOCK: Planning a street party for The Queen's Platinum Jubilee this summer?
Then Herts County Council Highways department would like to hear from you.
HCCH said: "Do you like to be ahead of others when planning?
"We are now accepting street party applications for any day during the extended bank holiday between June 2 and June 5, 2022 for The Queen' s PlatinumJubilee."
If you're planning to have a street party or event on a public road, you'll need to get permission to close the road.
Most closures for events are free, if it's on a residential street and doesn't affect a bus route. HCCH will let you know if they need to charge you to close the road.
Please apply before 21 April to allow processing time.
