Letchworth charity store Willow Foundation's 10k is hailed as huge success - raising whopping £25,000
Willow's 10K a huge success
Much-loved Herts charity Willow hosted a sporty event that has been hailed as a huge hit.
The Willow 10K, the annual event in support of the Willow Foundation, returned to Hatfield House and proved to be a huge hit.
MP Grant Shapps and Britain's Got Talent star Immi Davis were in attendance on a beautiful autumn morning where close to 400 runners/walkers took part in the event.
Attendees were able to soak up the atmosphere in the Runners Village with catering, family activities and performances from local Performing Arts school before warming up with Lindsey Fitness ahead of the new 1.8km family fun run, 5k race and 10k race.
"We'd like to thank everyone who ran, jogged, walked, clapped or sponsored someone in this year's Willow 10k," said Willow Chief Executive Jonathan Aves.
"After a challenging few years of lockdown, it's great to have Willow events back to their best, with the local community coming together to make a difference for seriously ill young adults."
The event was sponsored by local businesses Simmons Bakers, Wrights Estate Agents and The Galleria Shopping Centre.
This year's event has raised over £25,000 for Willow, helping create more Special Days and Special Treats.
