Here's the latest Nub News column from the brilliant David's Music in Letchworth

...........

Hello from David's!

This week we've been enjoying the longer days and brighter weather, and with new lights being installed, we've got a brighter shop to match!

Stereo-wise, we've been spinning the latest from one of our favourite indie bands, Mattiel.

Their new album, Georgia Gothic, is as brilliantly eclectic as the rest of their output, described by DIY Magazine as 'defiant and confident', capturing that 'carefree feeling you get when you've got the windows rolled down and the radio turned up real loud.'

It's the perfect pre-summer soundtrack for anyone who can't wait to for winter to be over with, and we're loving it!

We've also been playing (and replaying!) 'Crash', the fifth studio album from pop vanguard Charli XCX.

Rave reviews are already pouring in, with critics heaping praise on the retro-future sound and features from artists including Christine and The Queens, Rina Sawayama and Caroline Polachek.

Pitchfork has been especially effusive, claiming that 'the album has the range of a greatest-hits compilation' and 'sets a bar for creative mainstream pop.'

High praise indeed, but we're inclined to agree.

We hope to see you instore soon, but you can check out our website for the latest news and releases.
