Hello from David's!

Another week, another stack of brand-new music hitting our shelves!

It's a big, brilliantly varied release week and there's loads to be excited about, including the latest record from British post-punk rockers Black Midi, 'Hellfire.'

It's characteristically chaotic but cohesive, too, and ambitiously conceptual. Slant Magazine have noted how it "rewards digging beneath its surface and influences", and "engages with rock's history while simultaneously taking it in imaginative new directions."

We've also been loving 'Special', the new album from Lizzo. The hype has been intense but fans have nothing to worry about – it's jam-packed with songs every bit as joyful (and catchy!) as the earworm hit single 'About Damn Time.' It's truly perfect pop, and we can't get enough of it – expect to hear us playing it non-stop if you're in the shop this week!
