Letchworth: Get set for the return of the wonderful Willian Fair this weekend - find out more
Get set for the return of an eagerly-anticipated event this weekend.
The wonderful Willian Village Fair is back after an absence of two years due to the Covid pandemic.
With coronavirus restrictions long lifted, the popular summer jamboree in the picture-postcard village of Willian, situated between Letchworth and Hitchin, once again makes a welcome appearance.
There will be funfair rides, and a selection of arts and crafts, along with a raft of other stalls - with food and and drink options on offer, including burgers, ice-cream, hot and cold drinks as well as mouth-watering homemade cakes.
There will also be entertainment from Letchworth Town Band as well as Garden City Samba - and all for a great cause, as money raised goes to All Saints' Church and the village hall.
Speaking to Letchworth Nub News, Royston Jones, member of the Willian Fair Committee, said: "We're really looking forward to the fair returning after the pandemic.
"It's a great community event and there's something for everybody.
"We hope as many people as possible come along and enjoy the return of a traditional fixture in the North Herts calendar."
As you can see by the picture below, volunteers have also been busy sprucing up what is already one of the prettiest villages in our area.
Hard-working residents have been painting the posts on the village green to make sure Willian looks its best for Sunday.

All the fun of the fair - but it could also be time to treat yourself as Willian Fair has something for everyone.
Fancy some retail therapy?
In addition to popular second hand books, vintage clothes and white elephant stalls at the fair on Sunday, the event will also feature talented local artists and crafts people - such as Kimprints, Serenity Blue Candle Co, Wiggy Dangles, and BA Framed - all of who will be showcasing their gorgeous homeware, artwork and jewellery.
Willian Village Fair from 2pm on Sunday (July 2).
Please note Willian Fair is a card free event - so please bring lots of cash for a great cause!
