A planning application has been lodged to build a new substation in Letchworth.

The proposal, submitted by Wheatley Group Developments Ltd, would see the substation built in a small car park outside Camfield House in Avenue One.

Four existing car parking spaces would remain, but others would be removed to provide access to the site, while another would become parking for the electric facility.

Consultation runs util Saturday, December 23, with a decision due to be made by January 17.
