Letchworth residents are being invited to have their say on proposals on a redevelopment scheme.

Plans have been proposed to redevelop houses on Campfield Way, Highover Road and Icknield Way.

Housing association Settle aim to demolish 1940s 'Hawksley bungalows' on Campfield Way and Highover Road and replace them with new homes.

The housing association wants residents feedback before lodging a planning application with North Herts Council

Proposals for the new development include 157 new homes with one and two-bedroom apartments, terraced, semi-detached and detached houses.

Settle have said this is their fifth public consultation, in addition with face to face meetings with local people, along with 20 meetings with the local steering group.

'Hawksley bungalows' were prefabs built from leftover war materials. Their shelf life was estimated between ten and 60 years - but they have now been occupied for seven decades.

Properties on Icknield Way between 49A and 75B (odd numbers only), built in the early 1950s, may also be affected by the plans.
