Letchworth: Small fire breaks out in Gernon Road

A small fire broke out outside North Herts Council's offices in Gernon Road, Letchworth, this morning (Thursday, March 30).

According to reports the fire was quickly extinguished and no damage was caused.

Officers from Herts Police attended the scene and are currently investigating.

Letchworth residents are asked to contact the police if they saw anything suspicious around the council offices or in Letchworth this morning, calling 101 to do so.

The council are advising the public not to visit their offices today and to please use alternative methods of contacting them, for example via their website, email or telephone
