Here's the latest Nub News Saturday morning column from David's Music.

Hello from David's!

Record Store Day is officially less than a month away, and though preparations have been keeping us busy, we've always got time to listen to the latest releases arriving at our door.

In excellent news for alternative rock fans, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are back with a brand new album, Unlimited Love.

It's both the first in six years and the first in sixteen years (!) to feature guitarist John Frusciante.

NME have lauded it as "comfortable, confident but with moments of gleeful chaos", an album that "sees the band rediscovering their groove." Best played loud!

Another new release that'll have you cranking the volume is Beware Believers, the latest from Crows.

Their sophomore outing, it follows an acclaimed 2019 debut and has garnered just as much love from critics and fans alike. Loud And Quiet magazine describes it as "brutally satisfying", with "a juggernaut momentum that builds from the first heated chords."

On a different end of the musical spectrum, we've also been loving Hannah Peel's collaboration with Paraorchestra, The Unfolding. A hotly anticipated follow-up to 2021's Mercury Prize nominated Fir Wave, Uncut magazine have deemed it a "genre-busting opus", singling out the complexity of themes and extraordinary vocals of Victoria Oruwari for particular praise.

We hope to see you instore soon, but you can check out our website for the latest news and releases.
