Letchworth's Aztek Logistics secures BRCGS accreditation for ninth consecutive year

Letchworth logistics specialists Aztek Logistics has received further industry recognition for its commitment to operational excellence after an unannounced audit of its storage and distribution facilities.

The Letchworth Garden City-based firm achieved an A+ standard Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards (BRCGS) accreditation following the unannounced inspection.

It is the ninth year in a row the company has secured the supply chain award from the BRCGS, awarded after a deep dive into its supply chain practices and analysis of its facilities and vehicles.

Stuart Charter, managing director of Aztek Logistics, said: "This recognition of our operational excellence doesn't happen by accident – it's down to the work of a diligent, dedicated team which never rests on its laurels.

"All BRCGS accreditations are hard-earned, but it's particularly pleasing to receive an A+ standard score after an unannounced audit. It proves our attention to detail is second to none every day, not just when we know the inspectors are coming.

"As I've said several times before, delivering outstanding service every day is the biggest differentiator we have in a world where margins remain tight and trading conditions are tough.

"We are delighted to score so well yet again and demonstrate to our customers just how seriously we take our role in the supply chain. We'll be doing all we can to make it a tenth year in a row following our next inspection."

Businesses working in food safety, packaging materials or storage and distribution with a BRCGS certification will receive at least one unannounced audit every three years.

The audit is carried out to guarantee the highest industry standards for product handling and food safety.

Aztek Logistics, which is a member of the UK-wide Pallet-Track network, works across the FMCG sector and handles both long-life and fresh food for its customers.
