Make a difference to your community. Become a Special Constable

Do you want to expand your horizons, or do something positive that will make a real difference to your community?

Or do you have a friend or family member who is looking for a new challenge?

If so, what about becoming a Special Constable?

Special Constables are volunteer police officers who have all the same powers as regular police officers. They come from all walks of life and volunteer a relatively small amount of time each month, but they play a vital role in keeping our community safe.

Hertfordshire Constabulary's Employer Supporting Policing scheme (ESP) also means that many Special Constables also get support from their employer in volunteering.

That can include receiving paid time off work to volunteer.

Visit the Herts Police Specials website to register an interest in becoming a Special Constable
