St Patrick's Day Special Live Music Act in Baldock

The Cock in Baldock will be celebrating St Patrick's Day today (March 17) with live music from a renowned Irish band

North Herts music fans especially those who like Irish traditional music will be delighted to to welcome a flying visit from one of Ireland's best Traditional Irish Music bands.

Seoid - which means 'jewel' in Irish - is a band consisting of All Ireland Champions. Renowned banjo player Kerrie Herrity will be bringing her group of outstanding players to The Cock pub in Baldock on Saint Patrick's Day, from 230pm to 4pm.

Renowned Baldock balladeer and organiser Brian Burke told Nub News: "If you enjoy Irish music - and who doesn't? - this is a rare chance to see the real thing up close and personal.

"This is a real coup for a little town like Baldock to host this great act in between their commitments in London and Luton.

"It really is not to be missed and will be a great appetiser for our Irish Music day on Bank Holiday Monday, May 6."

It is also hoped that several dancers from the prestigious Maria Grant School of dancing will be there to show a few steps along with a few rousing songs from local singer songwriter Brian.

Free entry.
