Easter Chocolate Workshop at Standalone Farm

Visit us for a cracking chocolate workshop this Easter break.

At our chocolate workshop experts from The Melting Pot will guide you to design your own Easter lollipop complete with bags and ribbons- perfect for scoffing yourself or giving as an Easter gift. Little ones will also be able to learn all about chocolate and sample some real cacao!

Amal Ghosh: Bridge - an Art Exhibition at the Broadway Gallery

The Broadway Gallery presents an exhibition of paintings by the late artist and educator Amal Ghosh (1933 – 2022). 

Amal Ghosh was born in Calcutta, India, in 1933 and attended the Government Collage of Arts and Craft, before moving to Britain to attend the Central School of Arts and Craft where he specialised in mural painting. 

Later Amal went onto to study at the Hertfordshire College of Art, St Albans. His work is held in major public collections including the Victoria & Albert Museum and Art Council England – and had been widely exhibited both nationally and internationally including Bluecoat Gallery, Liverpool, the Barbican, London and the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.

Life Drawing at the Broadway Gallery

Join our friendly life drawing session! Each month you'll be assigned a fun activity aimed at challenging your approach to drawing and understanding the human figure. 

We welcome participants of all skill levels, providing an opportunity for skill-building, practice development, and even those trying life drawing for the first time!

Basic materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. Easels are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tickets: £15.00 or £10.00 for concessions.

Please note that ticket sales end at 10 am on the day of the session. For availability on the day, contact the Gallery on 01462 476110.

World renowned animal wrangler Mark Amey is back with a fact-filled demonstration showcasing amazing wildlife from across the globe.

Mark Amey has had a love for reptiles and amphibians for as long as he can remember. What he doesn't know about the natural world isn't worth knowing- he has even featured on BBC quiz show QI!

With everything from creepy crawlies to reptiles and cute but not-so-cuddly fluffy animals, this fascinating show will let you get up close to lots of creepy critters

Stotfold Water Mill and Nature Reserve will host the exciting g community event in May, with tickets available now. 

Organisers said: "We're looking forward to welcoming you to our 20th Steam Fair and Country Show.

The eagerly-awaited town centre event is always attended by many thousands of punters from near and far, pouring over the wide range of top quality food and drink options from a wide range of Letchworth and North Herts businesses, as well as local producers. 

Around the town there is invariably fun-filled entertainment for all the family, both young and old, with last year's jamboree hosting a craft fair in the Arcade and Wynd and busking in Eastcheap.

Beauty and The Beast

You are invited to step into the enchanted world of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, The Broadway Musical, produced in 37 countries worldwide and is based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film, this stage version includes all of the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman. Including "Be our Guest" and of course the title song "Beauty and the Beast".

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

Date revealed for eagerly-awaited festive event

There was jolly cheer aplenty across Letchworth as thousands of festive punters packed our town centre for the annual Christmas lights switch last year - with more of the same expected this time around. 

Our outstanding Letchworth BID event saw our community come together to savour the holiday spirit, enjoy the quality food and gift stalls, and cheer for the talent performing on the main stage in our around Leys Avenue and Eastcheap.

So, why not save the date for the 2024 Christmas Lights Switch-on in Letchworth - after Love Letchworth recently announced that the eagerly-awaited event will take place on Saturday, November 23
