Farmers on Christmas Lights Tour has been a huge hit across Letchworth and Baldock.

The eagerly-awaited North Herts event has been hailed as a big success - while raising cash for a much-loved North Herts charity.

The Farmers on Christmas Lights Tour returned to our town over the weekend to bring punters a huge dose of festive cheer - tractor-style - a week before the big day.

The annual event was in aid of the Garden House Hospice and, as you can see by our pictures, a number of tractors and farm vehicles covered in Christmas lights and decorations took part.

Acclaimed Letchworth BID boss Richard Harbon told Nub News: "What an outstanding event for the families and communities of North Herts, for the businesses in the town centre and most importantly for Garden House Hospice Care who provide a superb service.

"Hopefully this event raised more vital funds for their work."

The colourful convoy drove through Baldock, Letchworth and Hitchin in a memorable sight that put a smile on the faces of everyone who witnessed the procession, young and old.

As our Nub News gallery featuring a selection of Carly Bedwell's photographs of tractors and other vehicles making their way along Leys Avenue in Letchworth town centre shows, plenty of residents turned out on the streets to support the return of the popular festive farmers.

Letchworth BID's successful supremo Richard added: "There's still time to donate via the Justgiving page or texting TRACTOR to 70460."
