What's On in Letchworth over this weekend

SATURDAY

LDGA Summer Show

Get set for the Letchworth District Gardeners Association show.

A traditional village type show with displays of not just flowers, fruit and vegetables but also cookery, handicrafts and photography.

Both, members and non-members are welcome to enter exhibits; you don't have to be an expert to join in. There is a trophy for best newcomer.

If you're not exhibiting come along for a look round, there will be a plant sale with a wide variety of plants at bargain prices. All this plus refreshments with home-made cakes and free admission for everyone makes it a great afternoon out

RECOVERY YOGA

Neelam Taneja delivers restorative recovery yoga and Tai Chi teaching to support families and individuals to treat emotional and physical wellbeing with focus to develop routine peaceful practice of mindfulness, gentle movement, and core-strengthening exercises.

Family Yoga starts at 945am - 11am every Sunday until July 23. This class is suited to all age groups.

Recovery Yoga starts at 1130am - 1230pm every Sunday until July 23.

Each session is £10 or discounted to £60 for the full term.

Tom Karen - 1926-2022 - Rest in Peace 

2022 ended with the sad news of the passing of Tom Karen. Tom was the lead designer at Letchworth's OGLE Design, and is best remembered for designing the iconic Bond Bug and Raleigh Chopper.

The Museum at One Garden City is currently running an exhibition dedicated to his life and work, which has been extended to 15 April.

Todd in the Hole

The Todd in the Hole team have been busy making sure this year is their biggest festival yet. 

With headliners including Ultimate Coldplay, The Rocket Man – a tribute to Elton John, Supersonic Queen, Judge Jules & Pat Sharp already on the bill they've just released their next wave of announcements for The Woods Stage. 

On Saturday festival goers can enjoy music from; The Saboteurs, The Desert Penguins, The Dirty Half Hundred, The Scallywags, Daisy & The Dukes, Meanstreak and Definitely Could be Oasis. 

Super Sunday in The Woods will welcome The Arctic Monkeyz, Chasing Mumford, Ska Britannia and Kazabian to Todd for the first time. 

With a brand-new Wellness & Wellbeing area and details of the Family Arena still to come, this is shaping up to be a perfect weekend. The camping and glamping offering which includes hot showers, posh loos, great coffee and even morning yoga means family and friends can enjoy the whole festival experience.
